Background

This unknown robot insect was seen tunneling beneath the polar ice sheet on Mars (Episode 7 - The song that you will sing one day) where it attack the Nadesico's Aestavalis using a stealth attack from underground, its primary attack is a physical using its high speed and bodyweight as a weapon, it is also armed with a cutting tool. It is presumed that because this robot operates underground, it must have a more significant battery supply than other robots (it cannot use a Graviton Energy Beam while underground). The larger internal batteries would possibly account for this robots use of physical attacks, it may not have sufficient internal space for ammunition or generators to supply semi guided rocket batteries or pulse weapons.

Weapons

This is a stealth insect and does not use the swarming tactics of the other Jovian Robots, its main weapon is the ability to travel undetected under snow, ice or sand. It attacks using its momentum and body weight to topple an opponent, and then attacks them with a powerful drill.

The Burrowing Robot is only known to have been deployed on Mars, it uses stealth to attack its enemies and does not carry heavier weapons, making it agile and able to attack before an enemy can fire fire its own weapons.

The burrowing robot was used to defend the Jovian operations on Mars and would have limited capabilities on Earth where the level of activity in snow or sand covered regions is minimal. This robot was probably a remote sentry.
