Background

The Gravity Wave Catapult is the name given to the launch mechanism used by the Nadesico's Aestavalis, it generates a series of pulsed gravity waves to propel an abject, usually an Aestavalis, at a high velocity. The catapult is used to quickly launch an Aestavalis a safe distance from its mother ship and has been used both in space and on Earth. The catapult is large enough to launch even the heavier Aestavalis at high Velocity. The Gravity Wave Catapult is located next to the Aestavalis hanger, and the Aestavalis pre flight armament bays.
