Background

Aqua Crimson is the only daughter of the renowned Crimson Family, born in Australia, Aqua has been given everything that she could ever want, which has made completely insane. she now lives alone on the tropical Tenician Island.


The Crimson family produce the shield generators used by the big barrier.

Aqua was firs encountered when the Nadesico, on the orders of Admiral Munetake visited her island on a mission to locate and destroy a new type of Chulip that had crash landed there after being fired on by an orbital weapons satellite (Episode 10 -The danger of femininity). Akito met, and fell in love with Aqua on the island's tropical beaches.

Aqua is young and very attractive, she also claimed to be an orphan when she met Akito, though this was to gain his sympathies. Akito, who was being relentlessly pursued by both Megumi and Yurika instantly fell in love with her. Aqua is also a superb cook.

Despite her sweet persona Aqua is deeply disturbed and not remotely as sweet as she appears. The Crimson family no rarely meet with high society any more because of Aqua's' disturbing fixations. 

She is a suicidal romantic who longs to live the short life of a tragic heroine, her fondest desire is to die tragically with the man she loves (Akito), Aqua organized the kidnap of an artist to write a romance comic for her, and used a paralyzing poison to trap the guests at her 16th birthday.

Aqua, having earlier captured the Jovian Chulip with a barrier shield, released it, and a new type of insect that it was transporting as Megumi and Yurika discovered her liaison with Akito.

Announcing that she wanted to commit suicide and dies with her true love (Akito) as the Jovian robot unleashes a barrage of semi guided rockets the battle between the Nadesico's Aestavalis and the Jovian insect begins. Unfortunately for Akito Aqua has poisoned to with a paralyzing drug to prevent him from escaping as any normal person would do.

The Jovian insect was eventually defeated by Ryoko Subaru and Akito was able to escape.

Here planned suicide thwarted, Aqua plotted to drown with the spare true love, Admiral Munetake, who she found on the beach where the crew had buried him, waiting for high tide to alleviate their ears from his constant demand to stop playing in the sea and carry out their current mission.
