Background

Seelie was the female pilot who was assigned to the Nadesico after it was brought under direct military control, she replaced Akito as a senior pilot.

Very little was revealed about Seelie except that she was a veteran pilot.

Seelie was killed during a Jovian attack, she died fighting a Jovian robot in close combat. The robot used a Boson Jumping attack while she was in contact with it's chassis and was instantly killed.

Seelie is not her real name, rather it is a handle, or nick name depicting her as being the new pilot (a suggested translation of her nick name is "the new one" or "the new Person").

Though a veteran pilot Seelie had a professional respect for Akito and unlike Akatsuki did not emphasis his lack of experience during the war.
