Akito's Room

Name: Akito's Room

 Background

The officers quarters on board the Nadesico contain living and sleeping space, and are made unfurnished so that their inhabitants can put their own beds and cupboards into the rooms when they board the ship.

For a short time Akito, as a standby pilot shared a twin birth officers room with Jiro Yamada, the room was furnished with Jiro's furniture and anime merchandise. Jiro's personal effects where sent to his family when he died and the room was left unfurnished as Akito's personal effects where destroyed when Mars was captured in 2195.

Since Jiro's death Akito appears to have moved to a single birth room which is now sparsely furnished with a few of Jiro's effects that were given to him, presumably by Jiro's family.

 It is not known if Akito's single birth room is near the main hanger where the pilots live, or if it is with the regular crew and the civilian workers. It is unlikely that he is still living in officers the quarters because he is essentially a civilian
