The Utopia Colony

Name: The Utopia Colony Planet: Mars

Background

The Utopia colony was a Civilian city and science complex built on on Mars, it was home to thousands of military and civilian workers, scientists and colonists, including the Tenkawa Family before an explosion killed them in 2185.

The colony was the main area of habitation on Mars and contained civilian and military buildings used by Nergal and other entities. The colony was destroyed by a Jovian Chulip in 2195, killing all of the people who had not taken shelter in the colonies bunkers. It was also the location of the murder of Human colonist by Jovian Robots during the initial invasion of Mars in 2195.

Akito Tenkawa, a cook survived the attack, by using a Chulip Crystal to escape to the Earth, though at the time he was unaware of how he survived. This jump also lead to the Scientist Inez Fresange coming into being, though this was not revealed until the final battle of the Earth - Jovian War

When the Nadesico came to Mars to rescue the colonists, the survivors were sheltering from the invasion in the colonies bunkers. The Scientist Inez Fresange was rescued from the colonies bunkers and joined the crew when the Nadesico escaped from Mars through a Bosun gate in 2196.

No other colonists survived when the shelters were destroyed.
